There are three albums that The Cure feels are their definitive albums, Pornography (1982), Disintegration (1989), and Bloodflowers (2000). In fact they played a series of concerts in 2002 where they played all three albums in order and to quote Robert Smith "The albums Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers are inextricably linked in so many ways, and the realization of this Trilogy show is one of the highlights of my time in The Cure."
I am a huge Cure fan. Anyone that knows me knows this, but I am a much bigger fan of their albums from The Head on the Door and later. In fact, while there are some great songs on Pornography, and I can listen to, and love them all individually, I struggle to listen to the whole album from beginning to end. It is just way too dark and depressing to me, and by the end of it I want to beat some goths :) 4/5
