Day 24: Ray Charles - The Genius of Ray Charles

This album was really good. It has a wonderfully easy jazzy/blues/big band sound to it. Mr. Charles could really play the piano and his voice has that lower raspy type sound to it which really goes with the music he was making. It is a perfect album for just kicking back and relaxing.
I'm not sure if it is because I'm getting older or if it is because I am trying to be more open minded towards different types of music listening to these, but I am really starting to dig the older 50s and 60s music.

5/5 for an awesome jazz/blues album that makes you forget the cares of the world

BTW Rolling Stone named Charles number 10 on their list of "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" in 2004, and number two on their November 2008 list of "100 Greatest Singers of All Time".
