I really love Rod Stewart's voice. It is so unique. The raspy growl type quality makes him enjoyable to listen to. Having said that I didn't enjoy listening to this album. I was pretty much bored through the whole thing. I'm not sure if it is the style of music which it is or if it is the song writing itself, to give hime credit most the songs are written by other people, I checked. I just didn't connect with any of them. None of them had that "wow" factor that makes you want to listen to it over and over.
I know Rod has had a huge career, but if all his other albums are like this one, I'm not sure how. 1/5
