So if I didn't know who I was listening to I would swear this is a Duran Duran album. Japan is an English new-wave band that had most of their success in the late 70's and early 80's. Their sound is very very similar to Duran Duran, the lead singers even sound pretty much the same. Now I'm not saying one band copied the other, they both formed around the same time, they just bothhappened to be making new-wave at the same time, and that's not a bad thing, I like Duran Duran, so I was digging this album too.
