#884 Beth Orton - Central Reservation

Beth Orton is an English artist who mixes folk with some electronic beats/sounds on some of her songs, and I have to say that for the most part it works. Her voice is definitely on point, it has a different quality to it that makes it very unique, and the lyrics were great, although I have since learned that she actually wasn't responsible for any of it other than the second to last song. The only thing bad I would say is that while the album started off strong, with the mix of the two style, the album gets away from that formula and the second half of the album is way more folk oriented and becomes a bit boring.

I really liked these two songs

"Stolen Cars"

"Stars All Seem to Weep"

Tomorrow's Album #174 Van Morrison  - Astral Weeks
