#168 The Kinks - Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire)

I just don't like the idea of concept albums. I usually feel like they don't work like expected. This one was recorded as a soundtrack to accompany a T.V. program that was to be produced based on a novel. The funny thing was the album was written and recorded but the program was cancelled and never made. The main issue that I have with concept albums is that they obviously are written to tell a story from start to finish but rarely do the songs turn out well, they always feel forced.
