The Band are a country-rock band from Toronto, Ontario. I didn't particularly like their sound but reading up on the band I discovered they have had a lot of success and a lot of influence on other musicians. Eric Clapton said that after he heard this album he decided to change his style and leave his band Cream. Many others have listed them as being influences to their music and they have had their songs covered by numerous artists. This album, by the way, is their debut album."The Weight"
