Awhile back I mentioned, after listening to the R.E.M. album Document that my first exposure to the band was this album. Green is a great album. It peaked at #12 on the US charts and started a very impressive run of albums for the band. It spawned 2 songs that reached #1 and a 10 year period where R.E.M. was one of the biggest bands in the world. The best part about the band? The lyrics are totally quirky and catchy, and if you listen closely most of the time are random phrases strung together that don't really make sense. Oh well. It works.
