Most people will know of Randy Newman, I think, due to the success he has had writing and recording songs for movies. Here is a list of some of the soundtracks that he has done so far:The Natural, Parenthood, Maverick, Toy Story 1 - 4, James and the Giant Peach, Michael, Bug's Life, Meet the Parents, Monsters Inc, Sea biscuit, Meet the Fockers, Cars, Leatherheads, Monsters University, Cars 3 and others.
That body of work has seen him nominated for 20 Oscars, of which he won twice, and 15 Grammys, of which he won 6. That is super impressive in itself. Then when you add on the fact that he has record 11 albums and had numerous hits songs I think it is safe to say that he has had a pretty amazing career.
Sail Away is a pretty decent album. The songs were catchy and enjoyable to listen to. Worth a listen.
