I didn't love the songs on this album they were just o.k, but Janis' voice is just so unique and good that it made up for it. Her sound was just so original that it really hooked me and made me want to listen to the album. Unfortunately she only released 3 albums prior to dying of a heroin overdose in 1971. This album was already recorded when she died and was released 3 months after she passed.They the brightest stars burn out the quickest.
