I've given The Stone Roses a listen in the past. I really like 80's alternative bands and they fit the genre. I remember not really liking them the first time around and so I only ever gave them the one shot. This time their were a bit better than what I remembered them. It has been called one of the greatest British albums ever. I'm not sure I'd say that but definitely worth listening to. They are another band by the way that only released two albums and then disbanded."I Wanna Be Adored"
