No idea who this guy was but the album was very entertaining. The vocals are spot on and he was, he died of a heart attack in 1994, very talented as a musician. A couple interesting things about him. In 1968 during an interview the Beatles were asked who their favorite American artist was and they said Nilsson, leading to a friendship between Lennon, McCartney and Nilsson. He was also one of the few artists that had commercial success but did not really tour or perform to support his releases, and in 1980 following the death of Lennon, he stepped away from music to focus on campaigning for gun control.The Second half of the album was better especially the songs "Without You" "Coconut" and "Let the Good Times Roll" and if an artist only ever wrote those three songs you would have had an incredible amount of success. Unfortunately he only wrote "Coconut" the other two are cover versions, but still really good.
