#507 - The Fall - This Nation's Saving Grace

Soooo, were back. Formed in 1974 The Fall are a punk-rock band from England. Over the years they have gone through many line-up changes and have release something like 29 albums. Fans of the band consider this album their best. if that is the case I'm glad I haven't listened to the others. It wasn't that good, and it's not that I have anything against punk. I actually like some of it in short doses. The Fall were pretty typical in the sense that the singer can't really sing all that well, and most of the lyrics are angsty political etc. The downfall in my opinion is that the music was pretty rudimentary and redundant and not much attempt was made to make the lyrics rhyme or make sense. In fact there is a couple songs of the singer just kind of mumbling to the music and saying random words. 1/5 for using the word retard in your song.

Their "hit" song L.A.

Tomorrow's album: #387 The Saints - Eternally Yours
